Wildlife in Las Vegas

Flamingo Wildlife Habitat:
This animal habitat is located on a newly opened park area situated behind Flamingo Las Vegas resort and has plenty of Chilean Flamingos and other birds. The park also features attractive waterfalls and greenery. Tourists can also find ponds that contain Goldfish, Turtles and Catfish swimming freely in them.

Southern Nevada Zoo:
It is also known as Las Vegas Zoo. Tourists visiting this amazing place can find several endangered species and also have plenty of activities to choose from. One of such activities is a trek to Area 51 for exploring a strange and scary Ghost Town. There are many authentic collectibles and antique pieces that can be found at certain shops in the region.

Corn Creek Field Station:
It is a part of Desert Wildlife Refuge and a favorite spot of birdwatchers. They come to this region during spring and fall seasons when plenty of migratory birds can be found. This field station offers complete serenity and has many shady trees, creeks and ponds spread across different locations.

Gilcrease Nature Sanctuary:
A bird rehabilitation group had opened this wildlife sanctuary under the patronage of Gilcrease brothers. It was primarily a center for bird rehabilitation, but accepted several types of animals over the years. The wildlife reserve has retained its good old features and the entry fee for it is also very reasonable.

Floyd Lamb Park:
Earlier known as Tule Springs, this park is full of grassy areas and trees. Peacocks can be found moving in this region and tourist can enjoy fishing in its ponds.

Wetlands Park:
It covers a wide area and serves as a safe haven for many species of birds and wild animals. This nature reserve also has ponds, walking trails and bird-watching spots, which provides a great experience for tourists.
