  • Take 11 days and visit the most exciting, vibrant cities in all of Italy. Start in Rome exploring the Colosseum before traveling to the Bay of Naples where you can discover the daunting remains of Pompeii after the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. Additional stops include the floating city of Venice, Verona and the Italian Lakes before stopping in Florence for your taste of the Italian Renaissance.
  • Day 3: Rome Sightseeing & Free Time
    Perhaps join an optional excursion to the Sistine Chapel and Vatican Museums. Later, on a sightseeing tour with a Local Guide, visit Vatican City and the Basilica of St. Peter to see the famous Pietà. On to ancient Rome to see the Forum and the Colosseum. Then your time is free. (Breakfast)
  • Day 4: Rome / Bay of Naples
    Head to Sorrento to visit an inlaid wood workshop. You might want to take an optional excursion to the enchanting Isle of Capri. Then on to your hotel at the Bay of Naples. (Breakfast, Dinner)
  • Day 5: Bay of Naples / Monte Cassino / Assisi
    Perhaps take an optional walking tour of Pompeii, frozen in time by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D. Later, pass Monte Cassino on the way to mystical Assisi. B(Breakfast, Dinner)
  • Day 6: Assisi / Venice
    After an orientation tour of the city, you might want to make an optional visit to the Basilica of St. Francis to admire the vaulted ceilings and see St. Francis’ tomb. See the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels, then head north to the romantic city of Venice. (Breakfast, Dinner)
  • Day 7: Venice Sightseeing & Free Time
    Start today with a cruise by private launch to St. Mark’s Square. Marvel at the Bridge of Sighs, the Doge’s Palace and the Byzantine Basilica of St. Mark. Watch a demonstration of the ancient art of glassblowing. Then, your time is free to explore or perhaps take a trip across the lagoon to the island of Burano. (Breakfast)
  • Day 8: Venice / Verona / Italian Lakes
    Start the day with a drive to the home of Shakespeare’s star-crossed lovers, Verona. See the Roman Arena and Juliet’s balcony with memories of the famous scene from Romeo and Juliet. Then head to the Italian Lake District. Stop to visit Lake Como before continuing to your hotel. (Breakfast, Dinner)
  • Day 9: Italian Lakes / Pisa / Florence
    Drive south, crossing the Apennines to the coast. Follow the coastline to Pisa with its famous Leaning Tower, Cathedral and Baptistery in the Square of the Miracles. Later, on to Renaissance Florence. (Breakfast)
  • Day 10:Florence Sightseeing / Rome
    On a walking tour with a Local Guide, see the Baptistery, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Giotto’s Bell Tower, and the Piazza Signoria. Watch a leather- work demonstration before returning to Rome. Your evening is free. (Breakfast)
